Peregrine Renewable Energy was founded in 2016 and has built over 20 projects totaling  2.5 megawatts of solar power.

We help commercial property owners in Connecticut save money and increase the value of their property with clean, reliable solar power systems. We take a consultative approach, listen intently, and work closely with our clients to craft and build practical, cost-effective solutions.

Our principals are solar energy professionals with backgrounds in finance, engineering, construction and technology. We bring a depth of real world knowledge and experience in solar power systems, and a commitment to providing a first class experience for our customers.

Rob Liflander

Founder and President

​

Rob has over 30 years of technology and consulting experience, and 9 years of experience in the commercial solar industry.  He is president of Peregrine Renewable Energy, LLC, responsible for overall strategy and day-to-day operations.

​

Rob's first job in solar was VP of business development at OnForce Solar in New York, where he helped build over a megawatt of solar power for commercial clients.  At Sound Solar in Connecticut, he managed a team of 5 people and built mid-size solar projects.  Prior to the solar industry, Rob was a pioneer in the Internet business at News Corporation and Online Focus.

Rob holds a BA in Economics from Brandeis University and an MBA in Finance & Management from Columbia University.

Nate Roumanis

Director - Engineering & Project Management

​

Nate is a seasoned professional with 12 years experience in designing, permitting and building solar pv projects.  He oversees all aspects of system design, utility and municipal permitting, commissioning and registration of Connecticut ZREC incentives for clients.

​

Nate has held every job possible on the engineering and construction side of our business. From his start as a rooftop installer, Nate branched out to designing the electrical one-line diagrams and interconnection of pv systems with the electric grid. His skills range from expertise in AutoCAD to knowledge of the "back end" process of registering pv systems, helped along by his solid working relationships with town and utility officials throughout Connecticut.

Nate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont.

Robert Trezza

Director - Construction Management & Project Foreman

​

Robert is responsible for all construction & electrical work.  He has over 30 years of experience in general construction, along with 20 years of experience with solar power projects. He holds an PV-1 license in Connecticut, which is similar to an E-1 with a focus on solar photovoltaic installations (License #ELC.0198576-PV1).  Robert is also a master carpenter.

Tim Brady

Director - Customer Solutions

Tim is a veteran of the commercial insurance brokerage business and also a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in active duty for 8 years. At Marsh & McLennan for 19 years, he through the ranks to eventually head the commercial insurance carrier relations group.

​

His primary responsibility at Peregrine is working with our clients to ensure their complete satisfaction with our services.  That starts with a disciplined pre-sales process, and continues through financing and construction.

Tim holds a BS in Engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA in Finance from Marymount University.
